FOUND

I really enjoyed FOUND by Xavier Tremon. The first couple of chapters drew me in right away, and from there I wanted to keep reading to figure out what was going on. The story actually reminded me a little of Lost mixed with Stephen King’s Under the Dome, with that same feeling of being trapped somewhere strange and not really knowing why or what is happening. The story follows three teenagers, Walker, Allen, and Mia, who find themselves in a situation they don’t understand and have to navigate this unknown place while trying to figure out how to get home. I especially liked the interactions between the three of them. The dialogue was well written and felt natural, and their different personalities made the characters and their friendships believable. There’s a good mix of sci-fi, mystery, and suspense without the story feeling overly complicated. It kept me curious about what was really going on and what the characters were going to discover next. Overall, FOUND was a really enjoyable read, and I would definitely recommend it to anyone who likes YA sci-fi with mystery and a little bit of that “what the heck is going on here?” feeling.
