Why does the website look different in my browser?

Because Portlight Books provides its own light and dark themes, adding portlightbooks.com to the extension's exclusion list may provide the best results. If the background of our Home page does not show a picture of a lighthouse shining its light on a bay, you may need to add portlightbooks.com to the extension's exclusion list.
